Snowy bush is one of those scenes that can only be found at dawn, just after fresh snow has fallen. Heading out at the tail end of a storm, while snow is sticky and clings to the trees, almost always works. And Jack is like a giddy kid in a candy store, stopping on the way to an assignment to capture this moment.

Sometimes, when a shot doesn’t quite work out, Jack tries to return in different light. But it almost never works out. The weather, the light, his mood is different. Someone has mowed the roadside between visits. Maintenance workers have set out safety cones. A sanitation truck sits right in the middle of the scene. So Jack tries everything he can to get the shot the first time round.
