Kirstie’s hydrangea garden is a four-sided outdoor room lined with vari-colored blooms. One wicker chair is carefully positioned for quiet reflection, making it the perfect hideaway for stressed-out movie-stars on vacation in Maine. Wally, the gardener, plants
aluminum nails at the base of some of the plants to turn the flowers blue, and wrangles phosphorus and lime fertilizers to keep the others pink. It’s an artist’s work for sure.
